1. The Slurpee®licious contest will be held from 21st Sept – 18th Oct 2009 (both dates inclusive) unless notified otherwise.

2. Contest applicable to all Malaysian Residents.

ELIGIBILITY

3. Permanent and contract employees of Permanis Sandilands Sdn. Bhd. and 7-Eleven Malaysia Sdn Bhd (including its subsidiaries and related companies), their immediate family members, it’s promotion agencies, advertising agencies, PR agencies and its associate companies are not eligible to participate, unless stated otherwise.

4. This contest is open to all individuals, age 13 and above with valid Malaysian (new) NRIC numbers only.

CONTEST MECHANICS

8TV’s Latest Reality Show in Search of the Next Upcoming Band in Malaysia

Have you ever dreamt of becoming part of the hottest rock band in Malaysia? Are you a talented musician? Ever dreamt of performing in front of a large number of live audiences? If music is your passion and you have what it takes, then you are the person we are looking for!

After blazing reviews from its first year and producing the winning band Modread, Bingit is back for its second season, looking for more rocking bands!

For the first time on local television, 8TV together with Twisties, are calling all talented musicians in Malaysia to tune up their guitars, polish on their drum rolls and singing skills as we are in search of Malaysia’s upcoming band through the hottest battle of the bands in Malaysia - Bingit!

Bingit is an entertainment reality program aimed at giving aspiring and struggling independent musicians with tools they need to launch their careers, through interesting challenges and gigs.

After a series of “gigs”, the finale will reveal the winner who will walk away with prizes worth RM100, 000 and a recording deal.

“Twisties Bingit is all about searching the right musicians – guitarist, bassist, drummer and vocalist to make up Malaysia’s upcoming band. Our local and independent music scene has expanded over the years with great explosion from local and independent bands,” says Ms Lam Swee Kim, 8TV’s General Manager.

Kim also adds that, “In fact, I believe there are many more bands and individuals who are equally talented out there and we are very happy to announce to all of them that Twisties Bingit is the right platform for them to showcase their talent,”

“The auditions itself will determine the best contestants around the country. We are not just looking for a winner of the competition but the next best band in the music industry,” adds Kim.

The search for Malaysia’s upcoming band will kick off with a series of auditions that will take place in several locations throughout the country. Bingit is calling all guitarists, bassists, drummers and vocalists out there who are between the ages of 18 to 28 years of age to audition for a spot to be part of the biggest band search in Malaysia!

We are searching for musicians who will need to undergo individual auditions and will be judged based on his or her presentation, performance, instrument skills, creativity, personality, showmanship, song choice and other skills deemed relevant by the judges.
